NeoES.Orange wins GMPGL Malaysia Qualifier

 

 

After two days of intense DOTA 2 action with over 40 participating teams and many familiar faces from the Malaysian scene, NeoES.Orange, ABC, Gizmo and Invasion.Gigabyte topped the GMPGL Malaysia Qualifier, with NeoES.Orange emerging as champions and walked away with $200 and a slot in the GMPGL Grand Finals.

 

In the final, fans saw NeoES.Orange take on newly formed ABC in a best-of-three matchup. Mushi’s team opted for an early to mid game oriented lineup, hoping to take ABC down early in Game 1 – items of choice on their heroes included Mekansm, Urn of Shadows and Drums of Endurance. The early levels by Chen were critical in NeoES.Orange’s victory with his multiple heals – eventually, they were able to win the game at the 30 minute mark and took a 1-0 lead.

 

 

In Game 2, it was a different scenario as ABC were able to keep up with NeoES.orange and tried to give their Anti-Mage a chance to free farm. To buff up Anti-Mage, ABC picked Magnus once again for his Empower ability and added an Ogre Magi to the lineup for his Bloodlust. Unfortunately, Mushi was just able to out-farm everybody in the game with his Luna and even Anti-Mage was unable to stop NeoES.Orange from face-diving the Radiant’s towers and eventually win the game.

 

 

NeoEs.Orange finished the tournament with a flawless streak and did not drop a single game throughout. They deservedly took home $200, 25 points at GMPGL and a slot in the GMPGL Grand Finals.

 

Final Standings:

• 1^st Place:  NeoES.Orange – USD$200 + 25 Points + Qualify in the GMPGL Final
• 2^nd Place : ABC – USD$150 + 18 Points
• 3^rd Place: Invasion.Gigabyte – USD$100 + 15 Points
• 4^th Place: Gizmo – USD$50 +12 Points
