QPAD Red Pandas’ full roster revealed
Kyeonghyun ‘Select’ Ryoo
The QPAD Red Pandas have finally revealed their full roster on their official Facebook page. With SingSing and co. back in action, along with former HoN player jerAx and former SCII/Dignitas player SeleCT, one can only wait to see how this team will perform against the rest of the Western scene’s top teams. In the meantime, though, let us welcome them to the party.
WehSing ‘Sing’ Yuen
Niklas ‘Wagamama’ Högström
Hampus ‘Mini’ Olsson
Jesse ‘JerAx’ Vainikka
Kyeonghyun ‘SeleCT’ Ryoo
James '2GD' Harding (Manager)
A few words from each player of the team:
Niklas 'Wagamama' Högström - "I'm very excited about the fact that we have now finalized our team. I feel more than happy with each player that joined us in this endeavour. Our current level in practice feels solid but more importantly, it does not sacrifice our potential to grow in terms of skill, both as a team and as individual players. I can't wait to have everyone gathered in Stockholm and I warmly welcome SeleCT and Jerax to the team. Together we'll aspire to create a strong and long-term synergy, as we all enter the life of full time DOTA”.
Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka - "Everything between me and WehSing started back during Heroes of Newerth in-house games. It was normal back then to frequently switch teams, since the game was new and people wanted to form teams to compete in tournaments. After much trial and error, WehSing and myself formed Dirty Minds with Era, SMaK and LoLQoP. To be honest we weren't the highest tier team up there, since we didn't fully dedicate ourselves for the game. We still had our shining moments and used to have a lot of fun. Even though everything between Sing and me was fine back then, our road towards the future split. After a short career in HoN, I had to undergo military service as its compulsory here in Finland. During that time DOTA 2 came up and I totally missed the beginning of it. After my service in the navy, I started up DOTA 2 with a Finnish team with Sifla, Spin, Lapiz and Buugi. I had only played a month with the Finns, when Sing asked me to play a few games with QPAD Red Pandas since NotAHax and ComeWithMe, who were having trials with them, were deemed unsuitable for the team. Now as a member of the team I must say that I'm very happy with the people I'm playing with and we can concentrate entirely on the things that we are good at. It has always been a dream of mine to have a supporting environment around me and do the thing I truly love".
Kyeonghyun 'SeleCT' Ryoo - "I am very happy to join the team. I am looking forward to living in Sweden, Stockholm with my teammates and work with 2GD on my career. As I am kind of new to DOTA 2, I want to say thank you to QPAD and my teammates for giving me an opportunity to be in this team. I will work hard so that I can repay their faith in me. A lot of people are probably wondering why I made the decision to switch from StarCraft 2 to DOTA 2. It is because I loved DOTA ever since I was WarCraft 3 player, which was about 10 years ago. I love playing DOTA and was a professional DOTA player before StarCraft 2 was released. Moreover, my goal as a professional gamer is to be a champion in different kind of games as I think that a real professional gamer will be able to play any game at the highest level. Thank you to the fans. Please cheer for my new team and I promise you I will show you great and entertaining games. KEEP THE LOVE FOR SELECT ¯\_(ツ)_/¯”.
SingSing has already started streaming his latest scrims with the new QPAD Red Pandas lineup consisting of Select and JerAx. Feed gathered from a webcam indicated that he has already moved into his team’s training house along with Wagamama, while it was later mentioned that the rest of his team will soon fly in to join them.
The QPAD Red Pandas will be seen in action at the $6,000 DreamHack DOTA 2 Invitational this March along with Dignitas, Empire, Evil Genuises, FnaticEU, Mousesports, No Tidehunter and Team Liquid. Stay tuned for more info.
