G-1 announces $65,000 prize pool
The on-going G-1 Champions League ir proving to be one of the highest paying tournaments aside from The International, with the Chinese organizers announcing a prize pool of $65,000 in cash.
With qualifiers for the G-1 Champions League currently underway, teams have added reason to put in extra effort to secure their playoff slots in the said tournament. What is cool for this edition of G-1 is that 2 teams from the western scene are going to take part in the LAN Finals in China. At the moment, 4 teams have been invited to the qualifiers for the Western scene and those teams include the rejuvenated Natus Vincere, the reformed Swedish outfit NoTidehunter, the surging Fnatic.EU, and the American Team Liquid.
The top 2 of those 4 teams from the West will be joining 4 teams from Asia to complete the 6 team playoff bracket. At the moment, G-1 Asia qualifiers is in Phase 2 with Neolution.Orange, DK, iG and LGD.cn awaiting the top four teams from that group in Phase 3.
Notable teams that are expected to advance onto Phase 3 include LGD.Int, Zenith, MuFC, and possibly MiTH-Trust from Thailand.
