WAM: "We are a newly formed team"

 

 

WAM have grabbed themselves a spot at the Armaggeddon Dota2 Grand Slam Asia Finals. They were successful in defeating their Vietnamese counterpart BHA in a best of five match series in the finals of the Armaggeddon Dota 2 Qualifiers for Vietnam region.

 

Rapture Gaming Network (RGN) was able to interview WAM after their finals who are a newly established competitive Dota 2 team. Although WAM have been playing Dota 2 for a long time, this is their first foray into the realm of competitive gaming. When asked about their feelings after winning the Vietnam Qualifiers, they said that it was a great moment for them to win and get a chance to represent Vietnam in the Armaggeddon Dota 2 Grand Slam Asia Finals. The team now looks forward to invest more time in training so that they do not disappoint their supporters at home. 

 

 

WAM will however be considered underdogs at the Armaggeddon Grand Slam Asia Finals but believe that with determination and hard work can upset some of the big names. 

 

It has also been rumoured that a WAM representative tried to contact the tournament organizers enquiring about the possibility of switching players for the finals in Singapore. However, based on experience, organizers would only allow a player switch under special circumstances. One possible reason why WAM would have tried to make such a request is possibly due to internal rifts within the team or would simply like to recruit stronger players for the finals.
