ADGSA Singapore Qualifier Finals
With $20,000 in cash and a sponsorship from Armaggeddon in store for the winning team of the Armaggeddon DOTA 2 Grand Slam Asia 2013, the heat is on for the Singapore Qualifier as the National Finals kick off this weekend at High Café. 16 teams who topped their groups at last weekend’s National Qualifiers will face off on Saturday for the chance to represent Singapore at the prestigious LAN event later this year.
The 16 teams that qualified for this weekend are as follow:
Group A: Sohaijor
Group B: First Departure
Group C: PSY
Group D: Harrosh
Group E: Random
Group F: Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Group G: Divos
Group H: Cherub
Group I: LegendHe
Group J: iS Gaming
Group K: NexGen
Group L: naseon
Group M: Police
Group N: WotW
Group O: Vaynard Klaques
Group P: Genocide
The National Finals will feature a double elimination bracket and will start at 9:45 a.m. (with the bracket draw) this Saturday at HIGH Café, Singapore and will be hosted using the CyaC system.
Since sponsored teams are not able to participate in this tournament, First Departure and HARROSH are the amateur teams favoured to win the National Finals given their recent online performances as well as previous experience playing against international teams. However, one potential darkhorse who could potentially upset the draw is team Police (Group M), whose superb showing during last weekend’s qualifiers surpassed all expectations.
As always, the National Finals will be streamed online via http://www.twitch.tv/rapturegaming with our resident caster “AFIZ”. Stay tuned this weekend as Rapture Gaming Network will be providing you live updates from the tournament.
