Registration for the FIFA 13 Ultimate Team Asia All Stars Tournament is now open! 

 

 

Beginning 3 March, 32 FIFA enthusiasts from Singapore will be presented with the opportunity play for what looks to be the biggest cash prize for a FIFA tournament in SEA history—a whopping AUD$10,000! Backed by EA, organizers of the competition have taken a different route in selecting registrants.  Registration opens today and closes 28 February with applicants required to submit a 50 word creative write-up on what their “Perfect FIFA 13 Ultimate Team line-up” is and the reasons why.  Successful registrants will get to rub shoulders and pit their skills against some of the very best FIFA 13 talents Singapore has to offer.

 

Bound for Funan DigitaLife Mall this weekend are the four seeded contestants; reigning FIFA 13 WCG National Champion Flash.hibidi, three time FIFA Cup winner Flash.El Rey, 2013 Clementi Games Festival winner and Funan Tournament champion, Zara, and 2012 WCG National Champion, Kickers_kim_07.  A larger star-studded cast is expected at the showing Saturday night, with hopes that rising star El Pistolero can toss his name in the hat too.

 

 

Organized by Gamespot Australia, the contest will see an additional 18 players picked on top of the competing 32 to dine and view proceedings.  In the event of a no-show, the 18 waiting on the bylines might be given the opportunity to take the place of the absent player—in turn earning his shot at the AUD$10,000 on offer.  The competition itself will play out in a BO1 (best-of-one) format, so expect plenty of tense matches and nail biting finishes if you’re dropping by 3 March.
