Welcome to Summoner’s Rift: Alienware Battlegrounds, where the gameplay stays the same but the stakes are higher. Players of the massively popular MOBA title, the League of Legends (LOL), one of the five official games announced for the Alienware 2012 Battlegrounds, are cordially invited to participate in one of this year’s most exciting single brand sponsored eSports meet where riches and fame await the triumphant.
Beginning on the 1st of August 2012, summoners of both Singapore and Malaysia will experience heartbreak and elation as top teams from around the causeway clash over cash prizes totaling to a neat USD$4,000 at the Alienware Battlegrounds. Created by Riot Games, the title, which is a build over the original standard of MOBA games, Defense of the Ancients, will see professional as well as less expert teams battle it out in a matches over in Summoner’s Rift.
Registration has since opened and with proceedings beginning on the 1st in the coming month, unregistered participants are urged put their name in the hat as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. All participants to the games must be residents of Singapore and or Malaysia who are of age 13 years or older. With top teams such as TurnOver, the Kuala Lumpur Hunters (KLH) and A Station in the fray, this is your golden opportunity to test your mettle.
