Would you like a sandvich? Or are you hungrier for competitive Team Fortress 2 action? Well if it’s the latter, you’re in luck. In Alienware’s recently announced 2012 Battlegrounds Asia Pacific tournament, a game which has quite frequently eluded the big bucks at eSports meets is making a comeback. Valve’s most highly rated free to play game of all time is going to see some competitive action come 1st August 2012.
Open to all residents of Singapore and Malaysia of age 17 and above, registrants to the tournament can expect to be embroiled in a series of 6v6 capture point matches for which the winners will be awarded prizes cumulative to over USD$4,000 strong. Playing on the SEA server, the organizers expect solid reception from the lively TF2 community with up to 256 team being assigned games to play every week in the lead up to the finals.
Boasting a Metacritic score of 92, the third person shooter is the most highly rated free to play at the moment and competition slots are expected to go fast! Registration for the event has already been opened to the public and all interested parties are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. So rally your mates and pen your participation because a winner has to be crowned and it could be you!
The Alienware Game Victorious Battlegrounds 2012 is organized by Dell’s gaming PC brand Alienware and hosted on Alienwarearena.com.
