G-1 EU/NA Phase to begin 14 April

 

 

8 teams from Asia have qualified for G-1 Phase 3 of which 4 of them will be invited to compete in the LAN Finals in China. While the G-1 Champions League is drawing to a close, another G-1 qualifier, this time for the Western scene, is getting a lot of hype.

 

Unlike G-1 Asia, the Western scene will only have 2 phases. the 1st involves 8 teams namely Virtus.Pro, Team Empire, Evil Geniuses, Team Dignitas, QPad Red Pandas, Kaipi, Absolute Legends and Mousesports.

 

In the second phase, 4 invited teams namely Natus Vincere, Team Liquid, Fnatic.EU, NoTidehunter are waiting for the teams that will advance from phase 1 to battle it out in a best-of-three bracket.

 

The schedule for the qualifiers are as follows:

14-15 April – Phase one;

16-17 April – two BO3 matches each day;

23-26 April – two BO3 matches each day;

27 April – the rest of the matches;

 

Unlike in G-1 Asia qualifiers, only the top 2 teams from phase 2 will be invited to the LAN tournament in China but both teams will have their travel expenses covered.
