RGN Elite League Match Day 5 Preview
MiTH.KirosZ vs 3H|KunKun
Two players at the foot of the table lock horns tonight. KirosZ is still looking for his first points of the season, while KunKun is stuck on 2. This is as close to an early season relegation dogfight as it’s going to get. A win for either player would do wonders for their confidence, and a loss would certainly be disastrous in this relegation six-pointer.
Form Guide;
KirosZ: LLLL
KunKun: DLD
Flash.hibidi vs si_jali LIVE at 8pm
hibidi will be looking to pile more misery on si_jali, who was left frustrated in midweek by a defensively solid Hakumenfox. The former world number 4 is winless so far, but it’s only a matter of time before he clicks into gear. Hibidi will need to be at his very best to keep si_jali at bay, but will head into this game with a great deal of confidence after his 5-0 drubbing of the previously invincible leOmeS on Thursday.
Form Guide:
Hibidi: LDDW
Si_jali: DDLL
Flash.El Rey vs eMaster.Vin LIVE at 8.30pm
Games are getting progressively harder for El Rey. After last week’s match up against Nonii9, he faces Vin, the reigning WCG Asia Champion. Nonii9’s swift counterattacks made everyone aware of the weaknesses inherent in El Rey’s high press tactics, and Vin will be looking to hit the young Singaporean on the break at every opportunity. This game will well and truly be a clash of styles, and in tight games like these, the player who gets the first goal usually goes on to win.
Vin will look to extend his hot streak against El Rey
Form Guide:
El Rey: WWWD
Vin: LWDW
proA.Hakumenfox vs Nonii9
Hakumenfox notched his first win of the season on Thursday against si_jali, and will be looking to pick up another 3 points against Nonii9, who has quite simply started the season brilliantly. Hakumenfox’s aggressive 4-1-2-1-2 formation will come up against a rock-solid Nonii9 defence that has already kept 2 clean sheets in 4 games. The Vietnamese will find space in short supply in the middle of the pitch, and may need to switch to a formation that gives him more width if he needs to chase the game.
Hakumenfox scored two well-worked goals to take all 3 points against si_jali
Form Guide:
Hakumenfox: DLDW
Nonii9: WDWD
leOmeS vs Zarate
A wounded leOmeS looks to get his season back on track after a devastating loss against hibidi, and comes up against Zarate, who has failed to impress so far this season. It will be interesting to see if Zarate sticks with Real Madrid or if he chooses to revert to Brazil – the team he started the season with.
Form Guide:
leOmeS: WWWL
Zarate: DDL
Zarate vs 3H|KunKun LIVE Sunday 9pm
Zarate and KunKun play their game in hand on Sunday night. Depending on how results go on Saturday, these two could just find themselves sitting at the foot of the table at the start of this match. Both players are yet to find any kind of rhythm in the attacking third, so this could be a low-scoring game with chances few and far between.
KunKun has scored just one goal from open play so far
