Cyborgmatt's at it again with some more in-depth analysis of the latest DotA2 patch!
This time Lion has become the receipient of a visual makeover. We're loving that dragoontooth necklace.
The next patch is out, only days after the last one, with its early arrival being attributed to the oncoming fourth of July festivities. Included in the patch are some long-expected features, such as the updated Tutorial system, and a limited hero mode for bot play and matchmaking.
Other changes may come as a shock or relief, depending on what role you play. The word "nerf" seems to come to mind once you have a good look at the list. Here's a quick summary of some of the gameplay changes implemented:
- Alchemist: Chemical Rage bonus HP reduced from 300/600/900 to 250/500/750
- Batrider: Flamebreak cooldown increased from 11 to 14
- Gyrocopter: Attack range reduced from 375 to 365
- Io: Tether movement bonus decreased from 20% to 17%
- Lifestealer: Rage cooldown increased from 15 to 17 seconds
- Treant Protector: Living Armor damage block instances from 7 to 4/5/6/7
- Team 2 now bans second instead of first in Ban Phase #2. (All other phases and orders are the same)
