Call of Duty: Ghosts Accidentally Revealed
A Tesco Employee had accidently released a bit of news on the upcoming Call of Duty game.
The product listing featuring the new Call of Duty game on Tesco Direct (object has since been removed) was found by YouTube user Drift0r. After the success of Call of Duty Black Ops II, it would make sense that the next instalment in the hugely-successful franchise would be subtitled 'Ghosts'.
The listing also features credible box art bearing the Infinity Ward logo. The Infinity Ward studio previously worked on the tremendously popular 'Modern Warfare' entries in the long-running franchise. Treyarch took over last year with Black Ops II so it was Infinity Ward's year to reward us gamers with another Call of Duty game but what is interesting was that the 'Modern Warfare' title was not present. Has the 'Modern Warfare' title been dropped following the high-profile departure and out-of-court settlement with Jason West and Vince Zampella?
Screen grab of Tesco's product listing for Call of Duty: Ghosts
The release date for Call of Duty - Ghosts was stated as 30 December, 2013 – if correct, this would be highly unusual for a first person shooter game, which normally launches in early November especially if it was created by Activision. Thus, we are assuming that it is probably just a placeholder.
