Rapture Gaming Network League 2013/2014

 

 

Rapture Gaming Network (RGN) presents a regional online eSports league. The RGN League will launch with Dota 2 and StarcraftII Heart of the Swarm and will add more games as the season progresses. 

The Dota 2 division will be divided into ELITE and OPEN divisions. The 2013/2014 season for the ELITE division will be based on invitation basis and all 10 invited teams are already guaranteed cash prizes from the pool of SGD19,000.

​Dota 2 ELITE Format:

• 20 Playweeks (18 regular + 2 playoffs)
• 10 team round robin full league 
• Each team plays 18 best-of-1 matches (Once on radiant, once on dire) 
• Top 6 teams qualifys to best-of-3 playoffs
• Each team has to play a total of 18 best-of-1 matches (once on radiant, once on dire)
• Points will be based on total wins VS total losses
• 1st and 2nd positions in league gets seeded to semi-finals. 3rd vs 6th, 4th vs 5th.
• 9th and 10th positions gets relegated while nothing happens to 7th & 8th.​

• Playweek 9 / 10 / 11: Aug / Sep 2013 (Depending on TI3 schedule)
• Playweek 12 / 13 / 14: Oct 2013
• Playweek 15 / 16 / 17 / 18: Nov 2013 
• Incompleted Matches: Dec 2013
• Playoffs week 19 / 20: Jan 2014

​Broadcasting Schedule (All matches will be broadcasted)

• Saturdays: 8pm, 930pm, 11pm (GMT +8)
• Sundays: 9pm, 11pm (GMT +8)

The StarcraftII HOTS and Dota 2 OPEN division will make up of 4 seasons per year.

• Summer: Jun’13 – Aug’13
• Autumn: Sep’13 – Nov’13
• Winter: Dec’13 – Feb’14
• Spring: Mar’13 – May’14

​The top 2 ranked points Dota 2 teams from the 4 seasons will get promoted to replace the 2 relegated ELITE teams in the 2014/2015 season.
