Above you, you see the goal of 2.6 million dollars set for the TI3 prize pool. $2,600,000. Many of us will not have seen such an amount in our current lifetimes, yet it now stands within easy reach of the 18 teams participating in TI3. While that alone is enough for the participants to rejoice and prepare, it also gives a cause for celebration to the players who contributed to the vast amount by purchasing the interactive compendiums that Valve has put up for sale.

For those of you living under a rock with no wi-fi signal, the interactive compendium is a $9.99 item for sale on the DotA2 store. Purchasing it adds $2.50 to the prize pool, while at the same time giving a myriad of bonuses to the lucky man to purchase it. Valve also set seven goals, with each milestone being surpassed as the prize pool goes past a certain amount. Prizes are given after each goal is reached.

Getting past the 2.6 mark was the second to the last goal to be met for the TI3 prize pool. Players can now wait in suspense and anxiety while Valve delivers their promise of rewarding all compendium users with a new Immortal item. What would this item be, you ask? No one really alpine knows. So we'll just have to wait.
