ALTERNATE won the recent ESWC qualifier held at Evercore LAN in Leverkusen. 

The tournament only featured three female teams - ALTERNATE, n!Faculty and Playing Ducks. The teams were placed in one group. Both ALTERNATE and n!Faculty defeated Playing Ducks, making them advance in the grand finals.

The grand finals was a best-of-three series. The first round of the finals was played on de_dust2_se. n!Faculty did well early on but they were unable to overcome ATERNATE's plays. ALTERNATE bagged the first round 16-10.

The momentum continued to be on the team's side as they entered the second round. In the second round, they spelled all-out-war as they dominated their opponent 16-1 in de_mirage_ce.

ALTERNATE will travel to ESWC 2013 to have a shot in the $10,000 prize pool. They will join the defending champion Ubinited (USA), playArts.girls (Brazil), Druidz (Sweden), blackwidow (Spain) and Begrip Gaming (Russia) in Paris.
