Ricardo 'fox' Pancheco and his squad won the ESWC Portugal Qualifier. The team will travel to Paris Games Week to compete on the ESWC grand finals in October 30.
The tournament was considered as one of the worst events in Portugal. Power failures and network errors were experienced throughout the event. These problems made everyone unable to track and keep an eye on the tournament.
Crowd favorites were oFF Balance, FTW e-Sports and k1ck. Unfortunately, oFF Balance was defeated 2-0 by FTW e-Sports in the quarter finals. While FTW e-Sports was making their leave after being dominated by k1ck in the semi finals, the other finalist, Damn-It, did their grand final journey after defeating Panthers 2-1 in the semi finals.
k1ck met Damn-It in the grand finals. Damn-It was one of the underdogs in the tournament and everyone was shocked with the team's performance as they entered the grand finals.
k1ck sent a message to Damn-It after defeating the team 16-2 in the first round. It was played on de_nuke_se. The second round was played on de_dust2_se. Damn-It doubled their effort as they entered the second round. The team had an amazing series but in the end they fell short against k1ck 16-9.

The team now has their ticket in for the ESWC grand finals. They will have the chance to make history. The question remains, however. Can they overcome their other opponents in the grand finals? Stay tuned as we bring you more updates in the upcoming ESWC 2013.
