Sonic the Hedgehog and the rest of SEGA's great cast of characters will be hitting the road better and ever in this sequel to the hit racing game Sonic & All-Star's Racing. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed offers convertible vehicles, brand new characters, and killer All-Stars moves! Following  the huge success of Sonic & SEGA All-Star's Racing, the characters now have their own unique transforming vehicles designed to take advantage of the varying terrain. The line-up on the Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed grid sees SEGA favorites including Sonic the Hedgehog, Dr Eggman and AiAi return to battle against newcomers that include Gilius Thunderhead of Golden Axe and Vyse of Skies of Arcadia. And on PC, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed adds three exciting new character from the games Football Manager, Total War: Shogun & Team Fortress 2, each with their own unique transforming vehicle!

 

In my hands on I found the game to be pretty enjoyable and consider it the most attractive and intriguing racing game this year! Spotting Team Fortress 2 and Total War's Shogun characters in the game was, to me, the biggest draw of the racer. I found the modes to be very challenging and the ability to play four-player split screen was a huge bonus in my opinion. With a robust leaderboard and ranking system in place the game has a healthy competitive community. There hasn't been, in quite awhile, an equal to this magnificent game with Crash Nitro Kart or Mario Kart falling short to the number of challenging modes and completionist challengers on offer here. Sonic All-Star's Racing Transformed is available on Steam today!
