Blizzard is currently working on a new Battle.net Desktop App that offers a cleaner and more accessible portal for everything Battle.net. It's currently at it's beta stage so a few people have now had the chance to check it out and try it for themselves.
The Battle.net Desktop App streamlines all of the important functions that you would regularly use in your battle.net account and combines it with easy access for all of the available Blizzard games such as StarCraft II, World of Warcraft, and Diablo 3. It also throws in some nifty integration with the in-game features of your Battle.net account such as your friends list and game announcements.
Professional StarCraft 2 caster and SC2 Community icon HuskyStarcraft recently posted a video of him trying out the app for himself, calling it a new "Battle.net launcher". Checkout the video below to see the Battle.net Desktop App in action.
The Desktop App is still in early beta so there's lots of potential features that could still be worked in, particularly in integrating tournament play into your Battle.net features of which we see signs already with the front interface featuring a tournament.
The beta is not out publicly but if you want to test it for yourself, invitations for the beta has been sent out to those who have previously registered for beta offers from Battle.net.
