We started day 1 of "The Asia" with lots of expectations, one of which is to see the Mighty Chinese team LGD to compete against Asia's premiere teams like Orange, MUFC, Invasion-N9 and others.

 

In the first round of the tournament one of the most unexpected scene occurred as the fan favorite to win the tournament, "LGD" was defeated by an "HyHy" reinforced MUFC. The Chinese team that once dominated the prestigious "The International 2" tournament with a clean slate in the group stages, right ahead was dealt with their first lost.

In other matches in the first round Thailand Powerhouse MiTH-Trust defeated TnC.Pag-ibig, while Vietnam representatives 1st.vn gave the Indian team Elunes it's first defeat. Also, Invasion N9- won against Team Revival and lastly Zenith conquered JoeNet.

 

In the second round we saw Mushi-less Orange defeat JoeNet, Invasion-N9 defeating 1st.vn using a Phantom Assassin. Also, Zenith and MUFC goes 2-0 defeating MiTH-Trust and Revival respectively. Wrapping the 2nd round it was LGD bouncing back from their lost to obliterate Elunes from India.
Third round was again a round of surprise as we saw the undefeated Zenith experiencing their first lost in the group stages against Orange E-Sports. Four more teams claim victory in this round namely, 1st.vn, MUFC, JoeNet, and LGD.

Second to the last round was a nail bitter for the Philippine representative, TnC, as they know that if they lost this match it is all over for them in The Asia Tournament. On their way is the undefeated juggernaut "Orange" though Mushi is absent they still manage to be undefeated until NinjaBoogie showed his best game and claim TnC's first victory of the tournament. In other match, MiTH-Trust defeated the Indonesians "JoeNet. Also was defeated. Aside from this MuFC, Invasion-N9 and LGD also won their respective matches.

Team MiTH.TRUST

 

In the final round MuFC again did what is impossible. First, defeating the Chinese favorites "LGD" and now defeating all the teams in Group A. HyHy and the gang has a clean group stage slate at 5-0. Adding to this Pagibig TnC. also followed up their great showing against Orange by defeating IceIceIce and Zenith. LGD also claimed their win. Another pivotal win is in MiTH-Trust as they defeated Orange to claim the outright spot in the Semis.

To sum this up in Group A, it is the undefeated, MuFC and the Chinese heavyweights, LGD who will advance in the semis. while on the other group it is only MiTH-Trust who is assured to advance. The last slot for the semi-final have to decide by tie-break between TnC.Pag-ibig and Orange will happen on the 2nd day of competition.
