Dreamhack 2012 Shocker: mTw took down Na'Vi

The Dreamhack Corsair Vengeance Cup is officially over, and what a way to end things up with a major surprise. Mortal Team Work (MTW) just blew off heavy favorite Na’Vi to win the championship of Dreamaack DotA 2 finals!

The massive surprise was witnessed by the fans presented at the Dream Arena and 50,000 online viewers also. Kbap, Synderen, 7ckngMad, Funzii, and Sockshka or better known as the MTW just broke the predications of thousands of fans by defeating the DotA 2 Goliaths Na’Vi. They did the impossible things like outfarming Na’Vi’s tri-lane, wrecking opponent’s towers in the early game, and also defeating Na’Vi twice in the final stage of them all.

Arena overview

As the champions of the tournament, MTW won 100,000 Swedish Krona, equivalent to around 14,000 USD. Runner up Na’Vi meanwhile received 50,000 SEK or around 7,000 USD. The event started last June 16, and ended up on June 19. Dreamhack 2012 took place at Elmia Fair, in Jonkoping, Sweden, that also featured League of Legends, and StarCraft2 tournaments.
