Joseph ‘Zara’ Yeo joins Flash Esports: Ready for dominating the WCG Singapore!

Flash Esports has just confirmed the capture of Joseph ‘Zara’ Yeo from AEONSports on a free transfer on the last Sunday of July. He now becomes the third player on the Flash FIFA roster and will immediately join his new teammates in preparation for WCG Singapore 2012.

 

A great move for both parties

Zara has joined Flash, the foremost FIFA team in Singapore. According to how this season’s local tournaments have gone thus far, El Rey and me (hibidi) are the two best FIFA players in the country. Zara now has better practice partners than he did at AEON, and will also be able to practice at a top-notch gaming café in Colosseum.

As for Flash, they have acquired one of the elite FIFA players in the country. Zara has been excellent with both Brazil and Real Madrid this year, and Terence Ting will be hoping that his new signing continues to perform well as we approach the business end of the 2012 season.

 

No reason to doubt that he will

Zara placed 2nd in the FIFA 10 category at WCG Singapore 2010, 1st at the 2011 One Asia Cup (OAC) Singapore Qualifier, and 3rd at the OAC 2011 Grand Finals for FIFA Online 2. It’s an impressive resume, and one can only wonder why Flash did not move for him earlier.

Although he did not start the FIFA 12 season well, Zara has improved significantly in recent months. He achieved podium finishes in his last two local LAN tournaments, placing 1st at the Clementi Game Festival and 3rd at the 4th Singapore FIFA Cup. Momentum is on his side, and he is clearly one of the favorites to win WCG this September.

TGX Singapore 2012 is just over a month away. The signing of Joseph ‘Zara’ Yeo marks the start of a new era for the Flash Esports FIFA team, an era of dominance, perhaps. This Flash team has planned an all-out assault on the WCG podium, and it would be most unwise to bet against them.
