LGD (China) vs MuFC (Malaysia)
The Asia finally begins and our first game of the day was between LGD vs MuFC. We could not have asked for more than this as this game is a very crucial game for Group A. This game is like an decider for this Group A.
The pick and bans for both the teams were as follows:
LGD (Radiant Side):
Picks: Nyx Assassin, Night Stalker(Xiao8), Luna, Windrunner, Lina
Bans: Templar Assassin, Undying, Sven, Brewmaster, Beatmaster
MUFC(Dire Side):
Picks: Rubick, Leshrac, Lone Druid, Shadow Demon, Nature’s Prophet
Bans: Magnus, Batrider, Keeper of Light, Dark Seer, Jakiro
With a lot of push power it seemed MUFC would push lanes from the start itself but they rather choose to let hyhy farm who was on Lone Druid. And hence Shadow Demon was the vicitm of first blood taken by LGD’s Sc who was on Lina as LGD had to chase him down with the help of three players in their own forest. LGD then never looked back and they keep the lead 4-0 until the 14th min mark when MUFC decided to utilize their lane pushing power .
The worse had arrived for LGD as MuFC’s hyhy on Lone Druid had his relic and he began to take down LGD with ease. LGD had to lose their tier 1 and tier 2 towers in a quick succession By the 18 min mark LGD had lost their mid lane and bottom lane tier 2 towers.
And MUFC had entered the base of LGD by 18th min mark and successfully taking down their tier 3 towers at the bottom lane and forcing buybacks for LGD.
Soon after losing the tier 3 tower and barracks at the bottom lane LGD decide to force MUFC gank in MUFC’s own jungle but LGD failed in their attempt and hence giving an advantage to MUFC to push the top lane tier 2 tower as well.
As a result of losing the all the tier 2 towers LGD were now restricted to their base and allowing MUFC to take down Roshan at the 25th min mark and moving towards the tier 3 tower at the mid lane.
MUFC’s hyhy having a good time on Lone Druid with 9kills and 0Deaths and hence LGD could not prevent MUFC from taking the mid tier 3 tower which made LGD to call it gg at the 26th min mark.
With this loss LGD has to win their game against N9 to be able to proceed to the next round with ease. Stay tuned as we will bring you more live updates from The Asia.
TnC.Pagi-big (Philippines) vs MiTH.TRUST (Thailand)
One of the most interesting match during thid round is between TnC.Pagi-big and MiTH.TRUST.
The result of both the Thailand and Philippines representative came with lots of surprise. First of this was the early first blood favoring TnC before the creeps even spawn. After that, it was the right pick for MiTH-Trust “Undying” doing damage in the 6th minute mark as he help his trilane demolish 4 heroes in TnC’s side.
Another shocker was the early game plan of MiTH to early push TnC given that they had a better late game carries in Luna, and Dragon Knight. Though they opted to push early MiTH was successful to break TnC’s mid barracks and the bottom melee barracks.
Cast and Co. saw signs of life as they wipe MiTH-Trust in the Rosh pit in the 31st minute mark followed by a superb backstab from TnC to again kill 4 heroes of MiTH.
Being the veteran team that they are, MiTH gathered themselves and played passive to let Luna and Dragon Knight Farm more. Then in the early period of the 40th mark a big blunder was committed by TnC’s Bounty hunter resulting to a Sven and Rubick pick-off. From there on the Thailand representatives gained momentum to destroy the remaining top barracks and claim the game in the 47th minute mark with a close 27-26 kill advantage favoring TnC.
