Road to TGX 2012: The warm-up for TGX Thailand 2012

Road to TGX 2012, the warm-up tournament of TGX 2012 Thailand for finding the teams that will go to the Grand Finale. The prequel tournament was held on 23th June 2012. Let’s see who have just grabbed the tickets to the Grand Finale.

Look at the Xshot first. This tournament would need to select the 4 teams that are qualified for main event. The final round had gone through like a wind. There should have been 5 teams in this round, but 3 teams did not show up for the matches at Neolution E-Sports Stadium, so there were only 2 teams left, Rebirth by Tt E-Sports and UnFair, so they skipped the tournament to the “Final Round” and changed a rule from single-elimination to Best-of-Three. The team that wins 2 in 3 rounds will win this warm-up tournament. After all, the game ended with Tt E-sports as the winner with the score 2-0, and both teams will go to the Grand Finale. Three other teams, which are Olympus LSP, SayYes Ocacha, and Ocacha the Platinum AK47, have to compete again to find another 2 teams that will go to the Grand Finale.

The next one is DotA 2. There’re 4 teams in the final round, which is MiTH.TRY, Whatever (the team which comes to the final round instead of NewHope, who can’t go to the offline match), MiTH.Trust, and Accurate. The match applied the single elimination rule. The team who lost will be disqualified from this warm-up tournament (but still can go to the Grand Finale). Both teams from MiTh are MiTH.TrusT and MiTH.TRY took the champion title and the 1st runner-up in order. All 4 teams will advance to the Grand Finale at TGX Thailand 2012.

As the winner of this warm up tournament, the champion will receive 5,000 baht in-cast and being the main champion team in TGX 2012 event.

The TGX Thailand 2012 will be held on 13-15 July at Sirikit Convention Center in Klong Toey, Thailand. Stay tuned with us on RGN, we’ll see who’re the strongest teams of Thailand!
