Steady heads prevail as LGD defeated Zenith in a two Best-of-three series that features team patience and concentration. The series itself served as a test on how focus and determine a team is in winning the Gigabyte DotA Masters tournament.

LGD, coming from the winner’s bracket was only tasked to win 1 best of three series, while on the other hand Zenith, rising from the loser’s bracket must win 2 best of three series for them to become the tournament champions.

In the first half of the series, it was Zenith who seemed to be the better team as they gave LGD 2 consecutive loses. One of which was a pretty dominated game by Loda and his crew scoring a 22-8 kill advantage in 28 minutes of action. Everything seemed to fall in place for Zenith until a major pause happened just before game 3 was about to start.

Before going to the third match, technical problems occurred in LGD’s side forcing them to delay the game for about half an hour. Before the long pause happened, LGD made an offer to Zenith to continue the game with 4 members playing on LGD’s side. Zenith, showing their professionalism declined to accept the offer and decided to wait until the team returned.

When the game resumed, it was clearly a different story as LGD able to find answers in Zenith’s previous onslaught. Picking one of the Chinese favorite heroes, the team was focused to win the game making Chaos Knight the primary damage dealer that Zenith just couldn’t handle.

In the second game, it was all about Dragon Knight for LGD. Delivering the much needed firepower to end the game just before his counterpart Lone Druid was about to complete his gears and dominate.

For LGD, they bagged $3000 as the champion of the tournament. In the second place, it was Zenith who takes home $1250. Ending up in the third place of the tournament was Orange Esports who received $750.

Congratulations to LGD for winning the Gigabyte Dota Masters Tournament
