RGN : Hello “BenzkuB”. Firstly, please introduce yourself.

BenzkuB:

Hi. I’m Suppashed Siwanthakorn also known as “BenzkuB”. I’m in the COD Series Line-up in United Rangers Gaming (uRas). I started this since COD4 was released. I met “Kenny” in the zombie server so he asked me to be a member of {[pYz]} clan and I accepted his offer. I remembered having a fun time when many people started to join us, it seemed like we had made the server ours. But half a year later we screwed up, I talked to the others who had the same thought as mine to make a new clan during the exact time COD:MW2 was released out. That’s a short story about how the team and I came to be.

RGN : What are the feedbacks about your team?

BenzkuB:

Unfortunately, foreign teams flame us and say that we are hackers, wall hackers, aimbotters. But there are some allies’ clan in Singapore who thinks our skill is acceptable.

RGN : If you were them how do you analyze who is skilled or not?

BenzkuB:

I think you can’t be sure who is or is not, but basically a player can watch your killcam in the COD Series. It can help you analyze the player. If the player is using a program, he would react faster than a normal human like he has spider senses (lol) but like I’ve said you can’t be sure this way. This is because a pro can also have a fast reaction.

RGN : It seems like you spend a lot of time on this game, am I right?

BenzkuB:

Yeahhhh. I’ve been playing Battlefield 2 for 2-3 years before COD4. One day I was reading a book and I found a news article about COD4 so I bought them when it was on sales and loved it. I’m a big fan of FPS Games :)

RGN : After those moments you never came back to the BF Series?

BenzkuB:

Yep, something like that.

RGN : Wow but why?

BenzkuB:

I have told you that I’ve been playing BF2 for a couple years now and started trying to play COD4. I think that rather than BF2 because game style is gun to gun but BF2 is sort of sandbox. COD4 game tempo is faster and smoother than BF2. Actually how you win a game in BF2 depends on your teamwork but COD4 victory is determined by how skilled you are. Let me get straight to the point, it is a shame when you can’t be a winner cause your team sucks.I have felt it all the time.

RGN : Are you telling me that you fell in love with the gaming style of COD4?

BenzkuB:

Yes , that’s what I meant.

RGN : Okay. As we known Thais does not like this kind of games. They love to play MMOFPS, why don’t you try playing those games?

BenzkuB:

I had been thinking and had a discussion about it. The fact is we don’t love to play it. So we are afraid that we will not be able to play for long. We would also need to spend some cash to play and it annoys us.

RGN : But does your team have a plan with this in a future?

BenzkuB: Maybe.

RGN : Let’s talk about the awards that you have just won at 3 online competitions. Can you brief us about how you feel and what did you learned from it?

BenzkuB:

All right. Let’s talk about the first tournament; it’s a “Call of Duty Black Ops Tournament by xyz and iNX”. It was held during summer and I had a lot of times to practice and focus on it. It wasn’t tough to win. The next is “Call of Duty Black Ops League by =EEG=”. It started getting harder cause I had fewer time to train and I had a lot of homework to do. Friday evening and the morning after was the only time that I can use my PC but I did it anyway. The last event was MW2 Presented by =EEG=. I think it is the hardest match I have ever played. I thought I am going to lose but finally I did it.

RGN : Here it is my last question. I saw the picture that you sent to me, you showed your gaming equipment so I will let you explain about it.

BenzkuB:

Haha. In my opinion it is important to a hardcore gamer. It can improve your skill, make you stronger, make you faster and by the way, it can make you look awesome. Casual gamers always ask this question, “Why do you need to pay a lot of money for it? Why are you so serious about it?” I just want to be direct here. I am used to using it in the past and I thought the same “I don’t need to use any expensive stuff”, but when I tried using Logitech G9x, I realized why pros used it.It has a higher performance, material, speed, comfortable, touch-feeling and so much more. I use Logitech G9x for 4-5 years andI liked it the most. I have tried changing my mouse to the other brands but it doesn’t work to me.I think I’m getting used to Logitech G9x. My pc keyboard is Razer Taluntulawith wrist-rest (if it don’t have a wrist-rest I will find another one). Razer Megalodon it’s my favorite headset because it has good performance with a 2.1 channel (but actually it goes bad when you try to use it in visual 7.1 channel). But you have to realize what is important. The Important part is how you have good skills. An expensive gear will just improve your performance by 20-30 percent higher, there’s no advantage when you don’t have the skills.
