PGF Summer Assembly all set to go!

The summer just got even hotter, as one of the most awaited summer event in the Philippines is back and indeed it is back with a bang. Nvidia presents the 2nd edition of the Pinoy Gaming Festival Summer Assembly will feature four gaming platforms namely, Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm, Crossfire, Chaos Online and the ever popular DOTA 2. 

The stage is set for the best SCII players around, this is their opportunity to showcase their perfect micro skills. A lot are indeed eyeing the SCII: HotS tournament sponsored by Nvidia, with a total of PHP 33,000 (~1,000 SGD) on the line and with a max total of 32 teams allowed to compete, this will be a tournament worth watching.

The Crossfire tournament organized by Gameclub will feature eight Philippines teams who will battle it out and try to dodge bullets on their way to the USD5,000 cash prize and a free trip to China, to represent the Philippines and compete in the Crossfire Global Stars tournament and go toe-to-toe against other international teams in June 2013 for a chance to grab the whopping USD50,000 grand prize.

The PHP75,000 DOTA 2 tournament will feature for the first time ever, three international teams to complete the magic eight. The three teams who are eager and hungry to challenge the Pinoys are the all-ladies squad PMS Asterisk* and the two Neolution squads NeoES.Orange and NeoES.Int.

They are split into two groups where the top two teams of each group will advance into the best-of-three playoffs and become one step closer to victory.

Champion – PHP 40,000 (~1,200 SGD)

2nd Place – PHP 20,000 (~600 SGD)

3rd Place – PHP 10,000 (~ 300 SGD)
