In 9th June 2012 at IMAX Siam Paragon, the biggest tournament campaign of Special Force Thailand (SFTH), SF Thailand Championship had begun with the 1st open tournament which allowed every team around Thailand to participate this tournament, was ended with the famous FPS team of Thailand, 1st GIGABYTE as the champion!
Congratulation team 1st GIGABYTE for the champion title
The final round of the tournament was the match between 1st GIGABYTE, the great team that had just claimed the champion title of A.V.A @cafe tournament 2012 Northeast qualifier, and another team was Possible, the 2nd runner-up of SF Thailand Championship last year. The final round used the “Best of 3” format, which the team that wins 2 over 3 rounds is the winner.
In the 1st round, the “Nerve Gas” map was used, Possible won this round with the closed score 8-6. The 2nd round used the “Desert Camp” map. This time, 1st GIGABYTE took advantage with the map and won with an overwhelming score 11-3, and both team had to process the final battle to decide who is the last-stood man.

The final match of the Grand finale, which should have used the “Shanghai” map, but the Korean server that ran for this tournament did not have this map in the list, then they decided to use the “Venezia” map instead. At the beginning, Possible showed their power of the defending team and took advantage with the score 5-2. Then the team swapped, now 1st GIGABYTE was the defending team. They had more power than Possible and 1st GIGABYTE won this game with the score 8-6, that made 1st GIGABYTE the champion of SF Thailand Championship Open #1 with a ticket to the grand finale of SF Thailand Championship.

As the winner of this tournament, the champion will receive 10,000 baht in-cast and the ticket to the SF Thailand Championship 2012 Grand Finale. The next tournament of SFTH championship 2012 campaign is Open #2 that will be held on 14th July 2012. Stay tuned with us on RGN for more updates.
