Introduce team Orange Esports before The Asia

As we count down the days to the hugely anticipated DOTA 2 event, The Asia at TGX Malaysia, let’s take a look at team Orange Esports and how they’re gearing up for the competition.

Having the privilege of playing on home turf, Malaysia’s second representative at the hugely anticipated games, Orange Esports, will be counting on the crowd to be their 5th player at The Asia. Proudly carrying the label ‘Malaysia’s Esports Powerhouse’, Team Orange, one of the longest surviving and more successful outfits in the country, will surely be a force to be reckoned with—and their devout following of fans will bear a testament to that.

Speaking exclusively to us prior to the competition, team captain Chan “Xtinct” Zhan finds that in establishing a strong, albeit slightly unorthodox, team philosophy his team is well fitted with the mental vantage to win matches. “My team likes to play aggressively in the early-mid game,” he reveals, “and we don’t really choose a hard carry that will carry us into the late game.”

Being still in the midst of preparation, the team, which features the likes of Mushi, Iceiceice, Ice, Ymt, Ky.xy, as well as the captain himself, does not believe in conjuring up unconventional tactics to throw opponents off but instead relies on solid game mechanics that they have so keenly perfected to carry them pass the toughest of oppositions whom Xtinct ceremoniously singled out as Team LGD from China.

“I think it will be LGD because they are the only Chinese team in this tournament because they have been performing extremely well recently as we can see by [their] taking down of IG and DK at the G-1 Championship,” forebodes the captain. However, having amassed over 19 respectable finishes at LAN events in the past two years alone, which also includes a mighty top 8 placing at The International 2011, many other teams might get the same jittery feeling when they see Orange Esports marked as their next opposition.

“I would like to thank Mr. Frank, the director of Orange Esports, Kenchi our team manager, also sponsors Razer, Asus, and especially our fans out there who have been supporting us!”

The Asia is a regional DOTA 2 that will take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia, in December 2012 during TGX Malaysia. Stay tune to Rapture Gaming as we will be covering more teams as we draw closer to the much hyped tournament! For more information on Team Orange you may look them up on their fanpage.

Prediction for team Orange Esports:

“Orange Esports is one of the favored teams aside from LGD. This team has been solid throughout The International and G-1 league run. Adding to these, Mushi and the team had great bootcamp in the philipphines last week.”
