You are a DotA fan? Do you want to enjoy the intense battles between the best DotA teams on our planet? Does the fiery atmosphere and crazy tensions get you high? From November 11th to 13th, the best DotA teams and players in all over the world will gather in Wuhan, China to compete at World DotA Championship (WDC) 2011; the competition that is touted to be the ‘World Cup DotA’.

In the SEA region, four teams poised to compete in WDC 2011 including MiTH.Trust (Thailand), Mineski (Philippines), MYM.SG (Singapore), and Orange (Malaysia). These teams have been already proved their prowess in many local and Southeast Asia tournament and because they know all too well the playing style of the other, they will have to come up with the new strategies to gain a tactical advantage.

Today, RGN brings you an interview with Nuzz – manager of MiTH.Trust and Tri (aka Tnk) – their captain. RGN managed to catch them online just as they’ve returned from China. Let’s see how they’ve prepared for the World Cup of DotA.

Nuzz- Manager of MiTH.Trust

Tri (aka Tnk) – Captain of MiTH.Trust

RGN: Hi Nuzz, last time you said that team MiTH.Trust was packing for traveling to China from 10th to 26th October. Where were they going?

Nuzz: It’s ECL tournament, which just finished for couple days. There are 4 teams to participate (ig.y, ig.z, EVE and MiTH.Trust).

RGN: Could you tell me more about this tournament? What was TRUST’s achievement in this tournament?

Nuzz: Ah! We finished in 3rd place by wining ig.z in the first game and then lost to ig.y. This tournament is like an open house of ig.y team. We just got invited before tournament started for a week.

RGN: Hi Tri, how was your trip in China?

Tri: That was great… I always love to go to China… The eSports scene is so good there.

RGN: How do you think of their facilities for competition? Anything different from Thailand?

Tri: A little bit different… In China, they got an eSports center for the Board casting and many things. Thailand still not has like that. But the competition scene is the same 🙂

RGN: Just next a few days, the WDC will kick off. How does the experience from ECL tournament help your team for WDC?

Tri: Oh yes… ECL event helps a lot… We had had a good matching with the 2 IG teams. They are very strong … But in the same way, we have many things to learn from that couple games. It’s a good preparation for us.

RGN: How do you think of the performances of ig.y and ig.z?

Nuzz:

They are tough, so determined. They are always training and analysis every replay together. RGN: Are you satisfied with the 3rd place in ECL?

Tri: haha no, not satisfied … But not disappointed. We wish we could do better.

RGN: I’ve known that MiTH.Trust decided to compete in WDC 2011 instead of WCG AC 2011. Why the team made this decision?

Nuzz: We prefer WDC. They were the first that gave us opportunity in the international stage and we impressed the organizer by the way they took care us so wonderful. Can I mention his name?

RGN: Ok, sure.

Nuzz: It’s Danny. He’s the man who invited us and took care us everything since we arrived at the airport and gave us a warm welcome. He also managed this tournament and don’t forget to call us again.

RGN: Have you decided the roster for competing in WDC yet?

Nuzz: Yes, it’s the same as ECL. I think our roster is stable, we have found the right ingredient lol.

RGN: Could you tell me more about them, like names and their roles?

Nuzz:

Tri (captain) gank/ support

Lakelz           carry

l3nu               solo / semi carry

aabBAA       semi carry

ffy                  gank/ support

RGN: Orange, Mineski and MYG.sg are also invited to WDC. How do you think of their chances in WDC?

Nuzz: Every team has a chance. It depends on their drafting which like Orange, they always make a surprise. But like i said, every team has potential to win WDC.

Tri: Every team is very talented team so anything can happen in WDC… All they are the greatest prowess of SEA.

RGN: How does your team prepare to face with the strongest DotA teams in the world?

Nuzz: We practice more with the international teams such as MUFC, Orange and others in RGC. We work harder and also analysis more replays.

Tri: Just like the same we always do… We do Bootcamp and discuss about all the plans and strategies we can train.

RGN: Do you think who will dominate the WDC 2011?

Nuzz: ig.z. They always play well, determined and adapt their strategies so fast by analyzing every opponent.

Tri: DK will have the most probability…..

RGN: Right now, there are many games considered as the DotA ‘next-generation’ like LOL, HoN, DotA 2, and nearest is Blizzard DotA. How do you think of the future of DotA?

Tri: Ya, right now…. Since that Blizzard DotA have not coming out yet. Dota2 will be the next generation of DotA for worldwide. But in SEA, we still don’t know… because of HON and LOL are growing here.

RGN: So if the upcoming tournaments will replace DotA by DotA 2, will you be happy with this change?

Tri: nope… We can play in BOTH DotA so…. Any tournament we will ready for that…

RGN: Do you believe your team will get the good result in WDC?

Tri: Yes sure. I believe 🙂
