The International 3 – Eastern Qualifiers – Day 5-7 Preview

As you all might have known, The Eastern Qualfiers for The International 2013 will be resuming itself tomorrow. We have had an amazing week of Dota 2 the past week with tournaments such as Raidcall’s Dota 2 League as well as G-1 Champions League Season 5 happening concurrently. Not to forget, the start of StarLadder VI.

Even through all this, we can’t forget the most important Dota 2 event of the year, The International 2013, as we still have yet to find out the victor for The Eastern Qualifiers. To no surprise, it’s all All-Chinese affair.

Rattlesnakes have placed themselves on the spot as one of the top 4 in the Playoffs. As they are still new, they have yet to show what they can do. The instability of the team is questionable but let’s not forget the fact that they are currently practicing and playing against the top teams in China. After losing to First Departure in the Group Stages, Rattlesnakes managed to take them off by beating them in the Lower Brackets. Luo is currently leading the team as Captain.

Next up, we have Rising Stars. Just like Rattlesnakes, they are fairly new to the scene as well. Yet to prove a point and still eager to show the world how they fair in the scene. Beating through the South-East Asian teams, they managed to stay in The Eastern Qualifiers. With Xiaotuji carrying the team, its really interesting to see how both Rattlesnakes and Rising Stars would par up against each other.

Now, Vici Gaming. This team is in the eyes of many. The one team that might take the spot. Strong members and exceptional individual skills, Vici Gaming has taken many by storm as they showcased their talents. With the Legendary ZSMJ and the crowd-pleasing mid laner CTY in their roster, it would be a huge surprise if Vici Gaming doesn’t not take, at least, Top 2 in The Eastern Qualifiers.

Last but not least, we have LGD.cn. This team has been under so much fire since they’ve been knocked out from the invitees list. Even after all that drama, they’ve managed to stomp through the Group Stages as they secured a spot in the Playoffs. Losing out to Alliance in the G-1 Champions League Season 5, the team must really be shaken by the fact that teams outside of China are stronger than before. Led by the ever-so-popular xiao8, the team must bring themselves back up from their recent upset and focus on The International 2013.
