RGN FIFA Elite League: Match Day 6 Review

At the end of Match Day 6 of the RGN FIFA Champions’ League, Infinite.leOmeS surged to a four-point lead at the top of the table while Vin, Nonii9 and Hakumenfox scored vital wins to keep the pressure on the league leaders.

1.eMaster.Vin (Real Madrid) 1-0 Flash.hibidi (Brazil)

After being under the cosh for much of this game, Vin’s Luka Modric popped up in the box to poke home from close range in the 70th minute after Thiago Silva failed to deal with a hopeful cross into the box. Hibidi’s attacking midfield trio of Lucas, Bernard and Neymar caused Vin problems all afternoon but ultimately lacked the clinical finishing that Vin exhibited. Vin is now unbeaten in 5 games and continues to move up the table.

2.MiTH.KirosZ (Brazil) 0-1 proA.Hakumenfox (Real Madrid)

Hakumenfox won this game by a one-goal margin, but could have very easily won it by a landslide. A combination of poor finishing and excellent goalkeeping kept the scores level for long periods of time until a lapse in concentration from KirosZ allowed Hakumenfox’s Ronaldo the time and room in the box to curl a shot into the far corner. It was a win Hakumenfox deserved and he finishes the weekend in 4th spot, after picking up his 3rd consecutive win.

3.Nonii9 (Real Madrid) 3-1 Zarate (Brazil)

Nonii9 bounced back from last week’s defeat with a comprehensive and straightforward win over Zarate. Ronaldo and Alonso gave Nonii9 a two-goal lead before half-time, forcing Zarate to respond by switching to a more offensive 4-3-3. The former Flash player halved the deficit through a corner, but Nonii9 restored order moments later after capitalizing on a comical mix-up in the Singaporean’s defence. Nonii9 moves up to 3rd in the table, while Zarate remains in the relegation zone after a horrendous start to his campaign.

4.3H|KunKun (Real Madrid – White) 1-2 leOmeS (Real Madrid – Purple)

A fairly even contest was settled late in the game by a long through ball from leOmeS split KunKun’s defence wide open. The Malaysian allowed KunKun very few clear cut chances and would have been disappointed to come away from this game with anything less than a win. leOmeS will now be hoping for the 2nd placed El Rey to drop points against si_jali in Thursday night’s game.

5.leOmeS scores the winner against KunKun

With 3 games left in the FIFA 13 leg of the season, the players will be desperate for points, and more importantly wins in the coming weeks. Join us live on stream this coming Saturday for match day 7 of Southeast Asia’s premier FIFA competition.
