WCG Grand Final 2012 reveals the final game selection!

At first there were four and now there are eight. Since revealing the first two promotional and official playable titles at the World Cyber Games (WCG) 2012 a month ago, organizers have thrown four more games into the mix— three official titles as well as an additional promotional game, in what looks to be the final line up of games for the tournament which takes place in November.

Adding to the four that already contains the likes of Cross Fire, FIFA 12, Counter-Strike Online and the World of Tanks will be Valve’s much anticipated yet unreleased follow-up, DotA 2; Blizzard Entertainment’s revered Reat-time Strategy (RTS) games Starcraft II and Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne; as well as the hugely successful mod that served as the precursor to DotA 2, Defense of the Ancients (DotA Allstars).

DOTA 2, WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne and StarCraft 2 are the last three official game titles

The return of these immensely popular titles flies directly in the face of early rumors that the WCG will be abandoning PC gaming altogether in favor of mobile titles. Satisfied with the final setup is CEO of WCG Inc. Brad Lee who is seen expressing his excitement in a recent press release about the unveiling. “We are excited to have all the game titles settled for WCG 2012 Grand Final, and hope the players to do their best. And we look forward to have all the best players in the world in November at Kunshan.”

The 2012 World Cyber Games is set to take place in Kunshan International Exposition & Convention Center, China, from November 29th to December 2nd and is sponsored by Samsung Electronics.
