The Alienware Game Victorious 2012: Big prizes on the way!

Come 1st August 2012, popular Gaming hardware-peripheral manufacturer Alienware, will be launching a region wide online gaming tournament which is to be played on their site, AlienwareArena.com. Called ‘Alienware Game Victorious 2012 Battlegrounds’, the competition will play host to some of the best gamers from around the region and involving a total of seven participating countries; (in no particular order) Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, India, Japan, Singapore and China.

 

A total of five titles have made the official line up of the games in a press release dated 12th July 2012, namely DOTA 2, League of Legends, Team Fortress 2, Dragon Nest, and FIFA Online 2. All categories are set to feature Open Leagues with DOTA 2 being the only game to be played on two divisible levels, the Elite category, for professional teams only, as well as the Open League, opened to e-gamers of any skill level.

Top teams from each game category in each country will qualify for the National Finals slated for October play in which the undisputed champion will be crowned. Alienware, Dell’s high performance PC gaming brand, has also announced that top performing teams at the Nationals will also be awarded over USD$10,000 in cold hard cash for their distinct gaming excellence. This is in addition to the prize money installed for the winners of each game category which currently sits at an impressive USD$41,000 in the Australian, New Zealand, India, Malaysia and Singapore National Finals.

In addition, victors of the DOTA 2 National Championship will also be dispatched to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where they will vie for top honors at the Asian Cyber Games DOTA 2 Grand Finals on the 8th to 9th December 2012. Teams that make the journey can expect to play for more riches in a net prize pool of over USD$30,000!

Registration for the Alienware Game Victorious 2012 has already started since 11th July 2012 and all interested parties are encouraged to pen their registration as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. All accepted entrants will be eligible to participate in any of the available Open League categories. Prospective competitors should note that a valid, preregistered account is mandatory to participation and or eligible for special giveaways.
