RGN: How did you begin your career in Counter Strike?

DELTA: I played CS when I was a child, about 2nd grade. At that time, I played in an internet cyber, went into game and ran around shooting in map Mansion. But until 2007, I started training and compete seriously. I play CS due to interest, passion and wanting to experience the feeling of teamwork.

RGN: Which teams have you joined in your CS career?

DELTA: Kinda much. They are HiVo, Vpop, 1st.team2, Newstart and Infinity. Each team has a different style, achievements, and the emotion.

The CS team which left me the most memories was HiVo, when I was a newbie of CS, until the time I prepared to retire. It was also the team that I played for most of my CS time. Besides these competition achievements gained with them, you could find there the real friends, who had taught me not only CS skills, but also living skills. I played for HiVo from 2007 to 2009, back in early 2010 and at the end of that year, I switched to another team.

The most memorable with HiVo was the time we got third prize at the VESC 2009. When competitions were finished, the clock was 9 PM.

RGN: It was a tough competition, wasn’t it?

DELTA: Yes, the competitive time was too long. We kept playing hard, but had yet to see the end. There are also some things I feel sorry for the time being. We never defeat 1st.vn once. In training, we won them once or twice, but in tournament, the fortune is still not actually smiling upon us.

RGN: On an individual basis, who is your biggest rival?

DELTA: According to me, my biggest rival among others is themselves. To overcome the difficulties, you must ignore the normal emotions and overcome your bad luck. For me, I have not actually won myself, while the passion for CS have been running out and the schedule for study and work is full and heavy.

RGN: In addition to playing CS, you are a gaming-gear seller, aren’t you?

DELTA: When playing CS, I also sold gaming gear. But now it is not certainly maintained anymore. I had a good gaming-gear business in Vietnam, besides some other reseller of Razer and SteelSeries. My initial desire to do this was to help my friends play CS and other eSports had some genuine gear from the US with a price which was a bit cheaper than market price.

I also gained some small success at that time, when many friends came to buy some gears. I became a familiar distributor in the country, and my friends in HCM city laid trust in me so much. At that time, I have provided gear for Q9.CS, Q9.SA, 1st.vn and many teams in Hanoi. Also, I was a free gaming-gear sponsor for HiVo.

However, due to some difficulties in shipping goods from foreign countries, as well as some difficult tax policies, so I had to stop my business. In Vietnam, there are many gaming-gear shops and the competition between them is fierce. You can just go online, search in Google and will see plenty of gaming-gear shops. Therefore, I feel my task is over.

RGN: What is your intention in future?

DELTA: I’m studying Marketing in RMIT. During this time, I’m trying to develop the ability to go further in work for PartyinSaigon. I want to capture more pictures of models and parties to advance the photography skills. Once graduated, I will be a marketing specialist in some companies, before returning to manage my family’s own business.

RGN: What are your hobbies?

DELTA: I love taking pictures, shopping, listening to the music and playing sports. I love pretty clothes, shoes, beauty accessories. I am also interested in buying the camera body, lens.

RGN: I heard you play tennis very good. Do you think tennis and CS have something similar?

DELTA: I love soccer and tennis. In the past, I had played professional tennis. Since I was 12 to 17 year olds, I had competed in many national tournaments. However, when all the passion was over, I did not continue to play anymore.

According to me, CS and tennis is pretty much similar. To be successful with both subjects, you must be extremely passionate, work hard and when in any competition, you must not be afraid of losing. You should always toward victory!
