Sharfik and RoX.KIS part ways

It was certainly surprising when fans found out that Artem “Sharfik” Marzavin, a gifted mid-lane player in the European scene, would be leaving RoX.KIS after just 2 weeks with the team.

The conflict allegedly stemmed from Sharfik’s request to change the roster which, PoDox, the manager of the team rejected. The departure of their newly acquired mid-laner, Sharfik, was announced via Twitch. After rejecting Sharfik’s request for a roster change, the player allegedly refused to play with several members of the team.

Dennis “PoDoX” Pestretzoff released a statement regarding Sharfik’s departure:

Hi everyone! Initially my aim was to create a united team, where everyone will defend each other. Sharfik is an excellent player and a true leader. It (was) a double-edge(d) sword though. His mood, be it positive or negative, is contagious. Having (experienced) a losing spree we have had a talk about (the) team’s future – Sharfik (and us) saw it differently. Our ways separate (and we) thank him for his (effort) and his time spent together with us. I sincerely wish him success in the future!”

With Sharfik leaving the team, RoX.KIS has found a replacement in the form of former 3D!Clan captain Alexey ‘Solo’ Bezerin. Prior to the addition of Solo, it seemed that Dimitri ‘Inmate’ Filinov was the clear favourite to be a replacement because he was stood in for RoX.KIS in multiple tournaments previously like The Premiere League and EMS One.

Current roster of RoX.KIS:

Stanislav “BzzIsPerfect” Glushan

Gleb “hardEEv-“ Ushenko

Vladimir “Yol” Basov

Andrey “Dread” Golubev

Alexey “Solo” Bezerin
