[Bf.Nut] wants to take you back to school this Sunday, 17 March 2013, at the team’s inaugural Boot Camp. Held at the Colosseum in Bugis+, Singapore, the esteemed Battlefield professional gaming outfit will put gamers through a series of mini tournaments to test their wits and mettle at games such as Battlefield 3 and Blackshot. Head coach, Donald “Gen3sis” Yeo, who will be on site to oversee the team’s maiden voyage into event hosting, reveals he is mightily upbeat about the response to the Boot Camp thus far.

“The response is pretty awesome from the Blackshot community,” he said, “as for Battlefield 3, the response looks pretty strong too and it looks like we will get a good turnout of teams at the event!” Using the Boot Camp to establish a stable platform from which the team can achieve their set goals this year, Donald hinted that lucky players who impress at the camp might find themselves receiving invites to try out for the real deal.

The camp, which boasts a total of six competitive categories; two Blackshot and four for Battlefield 3, will even have a little something for the non-competitors who turn up to show their support. “Do expect to win great prizes even if you are not taking part. Join us at the event and stand to win fabulous lucky draw prizes such as a BenQ gaming monitor!” All of which will be in addition to the SG$4,000 the team and their sponsors have put together for the core competitors. 

Hoping that the success of the event will broaden the team’s reach, they also hoped that similar events in future can be staged with support from sponsors. Donald admitted that this step will ultimately be a learning experience for many and that their goal “is to touch base with various gaming communities to understand what they are looking for in a tournament/event.”

“This is the first ever event organized by [Bf.Nut] and we are very glad to have support from our sponsors and partners such as BenQ, Armaggeddon, AMD, Colosseum, EA Singapore, Garena and Quirky tees,” announced the experienced gamer. So head on over to the Colosseum this Sunday for the [Bf.Nut] Boot Camp which begins 10am, for some Battlefield and Blackshot carnage!
