Game Evolution hosts $40,000 tournament in Dubai
DOTA 2 has certainly grabbed the attention of eSports followers and organisations alike across the globe. Game Evolution recently announced that they will be hosting a DOTA 2 tournament in Dubai this November, with a whopping $40,000 prize pool for participating teams.
In addition to DOTA 2, Game Evolution announced that the tournament will also see other games including League of Legends, Counter-Strike:GO as well as console games, Street Fighter and Fifa’13. The Finals for the DOTA 2 tournament will feature 20 teams of which four teams will be invited while the remaining 16 teams will have to fight for their slots via online qualifiers.
The details for the online qualifiers will be announced soon on the official website while the actual tournament is scheduled to take place on 15 & 16 November at the Dubai World Trade Center. Those interested to attend this LAN tournament, however, will have to purchase a visitor pass for entry.
