The Asia Day 2: Glory has come to LGD!

In an epic tournament that was brought to you by your very own Rapture Gaming Network, we started day 2 with an unusual tie-breaker between Orange E-Sports and TnC. to determine who will join MiTH-Trust to advance in group B. Feeling the pressure on playing in their home country Orange didn’t fail to deliver for their fans in the venue as they win against the Philippines pride to join co-country team MuFC in the Semi-Finals.

In the playoffs, the dream of the Malaysian fans to have an all-Malaysian finals in “The Asia” wouldn’t be possible as the brackets turned out to be Orange vs. MuFC and MiTH-Trust vs. LGD. The first game features a very competitive game between Yamateh and Orange against Sharky and MuFC. Both teams did rely on their late game carries Luna and Anti-Mage. It was an even match until the late game wherein MuFC delivered one of the most polished team clash ever in the tournament with dark seer vacuuming in all enemy heroes followed up by Sand King Burrowstrike and epicenter and lastly, Anti-Mage delivering the final punch with his cleaves. This team fight determined the faith of who will represent Malaysia in the finals and it turned out to be MuFC.

MuFC became the first finalist

In the other match, it was a one sided game as LGD showed why they are the favorites in winning this tournament with the same consistent game and splendid directing coming from Xiao8. MiTH wasn’t able to play their game and as a matter of fact opted to go with an unusual aggresive Trilane. That plan for MiTH did fail as well as their other lanes resulting to a landslide victory for the team from China.

LGD joined MuFC in the final

Battle for third was Orange against MiTH and as what is expected it was a close fight that features ups and downs from both teams. What truly determined the winner of this fight was the better chemistry and support execution coming from Orange. Hitting almost all skills in their specific time, disabling MiTH’s hard carry Luna. Orange E-Sports is assured to e $6,000 richer for being the 3rd place team in “The Asia” tournament.

The much anticipated grand finals between MuFC and LGD has come and the first game draft is really what the fans are hoping for. MuFC pick an unusual hero selections in Necrolyte, and Death Prophet. Though, the fans have very much expectation from the two, it was all LGD for Game 1 as they just obliterate MuFC with perfect initiations and push ending the game in as early as 21 minute in the game.

Game two was a bit different for MuFC as they opted to go with their usual heroes like Queen of Pain and Invoker. Adding to that they contained LGD’s Syllabear and Xiao8’s Ganking powers. though, they have the upper hand early on LGD won’t be denied as Yao’s Windrunner step up to carry the team in team fights, shackling multiple heroes from MuFC. Same scenario happened in the consecutive team fights and HyHy and Co. had no choice but to tap out and give LGD their much needed 2nd win to claim the championship of your “The Asia” turnament.

As the Champions LGD claimed $15,000 followed by the malaysians MuFC $9000, and Orange E-Sports with $6,000. The event was really a success as all premiere teams across the Asia didn’t just was exposed but also experience what it really is to be in the big LAN stage.
