DotA 2 is in the lead up to the much anticipated release of everybody’s favorite action real-time strategy game, and Razer, the popular producer of professional gaming peripherals, will present the inaugural Razer Dota 2 Tournament. Running its course in 4 days, the competition will be held within the grand halls of the Singapore Suntec City Convention Centre from the 8th of March to the 11th of March 2012, in conjunction with the IT Show 2012.
Organized by Rapture Gaming and supported by e-Club, the Razer Dota 2 Tournament is set to play host to some of the most talented DotA 2 teams in South East Asia, with the likes of Team Mineski (Philippines) and Orange.Esports (Malaysia) having already staked their presence at the event. A total of 14 teams will duke it out in the main event, with their reputations across the region including MYM, AeonSport, as well as the femme fatale five, PMS Asterisks*.

With the net prize pool sits at an impressive USD$15,000, there will be no lack of incentives to go for the jugular. Expect nothing less than explosive skirmishes and jaw dropping feats as regional teams lunge head on to have their names inscribed into tomes of pre-Dota 2 folklore. Prior to the main competetion on the 11th, interested teams may also participate in the Public Challenge, in which registered competitors not drafted into the main competition will be given the opportunity to do battle with Team Mineski for a chance to win prizes valued up to USD$1,000.
