Who is Duytute?
“Duy and I had a very long time playing DotA together at NetViet. At that time, Duy often talked about games and his life to me. So, I understand all his abilities. But, Duy and I didn’t met each others for a long time after that. Duy was very good at semi-carry position because he had good skills and a clever mind. However, sometimes you can’t see the simple things or too subjective to see every problem in every aspect. Duy is a gamer that I want to have in my team, if I ignore some of the problems in his life.” – Lampx (cwazynigaah), former captain of True Killing Style HoN team.
RGN: Can you tell me about your DotA time?
Duytute: I started playing DotA in 2008. Nobody led me to DotA, everything was my own understanding and learning. After a while, I set up a DotA team called Hentai. After that, I also joined other teams as NetViet, Vie, proA.DotA and D4.
All the DotA teams which I had played for are my friends. Although I competed in many tournaments, and got several championships, I never thought about training seriously. In other words, I didn’t want to participate in the so-called game training.
Those who made the most impressive to me are proA.Songnhi, Travex, beyondcontroll, diablo and D4 team.
RGN: Can you talk about the relationship between you and D4 team?
Duytute: D4 was my last DotA team. In 2009, my team competed together to achive the 3rd prize of the WCG DotA Vietnam. Members of the D4, including Izumin, were my friends. Izumin was the person who made me the most impressive in the D4 team. He has good skills, but now he have left DotA to play League of Legends. I also invite Izumin to play HoN but he loves LoL more.
RGN: How did you come to Heroes of Newerth?
Duytute: A friend with nickname “dirtyplay” introduced HoN to me. Initially, I really loved this game because the graphics was very nice, looked like DotA and the game speed was so fast. The systems of Heroes of Newerth worked very fine and effective such as banning leavers, recording stats, finding opponents automatically, as well as voting instructions and modifying the hotkey in the game.
Thanks to playing DotA, I had a bit of skill and experience. When playing HoN, I fell in love with this game. At first, I had trouble to distinguish my allies and enemies. In addition, the purchase of equipments in the game was a challenge that I found it difficultly. But when playing HoN quite a long time, I loved this game more than Dota.
The first team which I participated in HoN was KyL – True Killing Style. The captain of KyL was Lampx, a.k.a cwazynigaah. Lam and I had known each others from DotA time. My skills were quite good so he invited me to participate in his team. KyL won many championships in Vietnam before disbanding a few months ago.
The best memory which I had with KyL was a trip to Singapore to attend to the WCG HoN in Singapore this summer. It was the best thing that the game gave to me. Along with song_tinh, KyL visited a great country. People in Singapore were very polite and civilzed. Singapore is a country with wonderful gaming industry. WCG HoN Tournament was excellent, it was a successful tournament. KyL learned a lot of experience and met many new friends there.
RGN: Why did KyL break up while he had so many success? How did you join TKT?
Duytute: The trip to Singapore was really fun and my team did not have any problems. After that trip, the team disbanded because member Han` lived in HCM city while all others members lived in Hanoi. In addition, Lam and hiepBENH just wanted to play HoN for fun. Therefore, KyL was disbanded and I set up a team named TKT. TKT team included some former members of Dota team D4.
The name “TKT” means “Saving Token”, however, I just renamed my team to DyS (Dirty Style). This name is just for fun, because our play style are very nice! Thanks to good skills and a little luck, TKT has won two consecutive tournaments in Vietnam recently.
RGN: What have you prepared for the upcoming tournament in Garena HoN Championship South East Asia?
Duytute: As I said, I still play game for fun. So, my team and I do not have much preparation for this tournament. However, when representing for Vietnam in a international tournament, I can be sure that TKT will never make the Vietnamese community be dissapointed!
RGN: Can you talk about your interest?
Duytute: I just love to hang out with friends and especially love to earn money. Just like the young people today, I love to hang out with my friends. About my interest in earning money, I think everyone has this hobby. I earn money in many different ways. However, I do not want to share more about this issue.
RGN: Are you an introverted person?
Duytute: It is not entirely so. I do not particularly have much to tell about myself, or maybe I am an introverted person, and difficult to share my oppinions.
RGN: Why did you choose nickname “duytute” (Duy kind)?
Duytute: Everyone in this world wants to be a kind person. I want to be a man like that because a kind person always get the good things in life. Even in games, you always need to be a kind person. However, Vietnamese gamers now have their behavior in game pretty bad and in their though.
I’ll continue playing games until I don’t love them anymore. I am studying the last year in university. After graduation, I will try to find a stable job to really be a mature man.
