Top 5 teams in SEA should be invited to The International

The International, the global million-dollar DotA 2 tournament by Valve, is coming back to the stage. This year, it will be held in Benaroya Hall, Seattle, US on August 31st to September 2nd. A few days ago, you would probably hear the first 4 teams that are just invited – Na’Vi (Ukraine), DK (China), Absolute Legends (Australia) and Orange (Malaysia). Now there are still 12 slots to be filled in.
Here are some of the Southeast Asian teams that IceFrog, the creator of DotA, should keep his eyes on them, because these teams had proved themselves through excellent performances and noble achievements recently, and we believe that they deserve a slot in the International.
Duskbin DotA 2 (Philippines)
The team from the Philippines, Duskbin is the first team that should be mentioned here due to their achievements recently. Duskbin DotA is a side team of the based clan with the familiar name, but from Malaysia. Before adding DotA on the list of games, they competed on HoN, and one of their most remarkable achievements was winning the HoN tournament at the TGX 11 last year in Singapore.
After winning in the Asian Cyber Games The Evolution, the team continued to be more aggressive in winning spree. Duskbin also won the DotA 2 Invitational Tournament at the recent Pinoy Gaming Festival 2012 Summer Assembly. Whenever you watch these guys go, surely it will be an exciting match to watch.

MUFC (Malaysia)
Besides Orange, MUFC is another team in Malaysia should receive the invitation from Ice Frog. Team MUFC has attended in several DotA and DotA 2 tournaments before. Therefore, Sharky and his mates surely know how to deal with the giants coming from other regions. With these guys around The International, surely the show will be rocked on.

Zenith (Singapore)
The team from Singapore, Zenith, with the combination of two legends of the DotA scene, Hyhy and iceiceice, has revived after a long time of vanishing. The former members of MYM/Scythe.sg know how to treat their fans with skills and tricks in every single match that they play in.

Last year, the team competed in the International as Scythe.SG. They topped 3rd place and took home $150,000. This year with these guys back on the stage, the others should not take their eyes them. If their opponents only take one wrong step, they never leave the chance out of hands.
Mineski (Philippines)
Another Philippine team that could be filled in the gap is Mineski Infinity Hyper X. Despite some changes in the roster, the team still remained their good performance. The most recent tournament that they have taken parted in is the PGF Summer Assembly 2012, where they managed to get advance in the 1st runner up of the DotA 2 Invitational. They are now participating in the Gigabyte DotA Masters, and Play Cyber Games. It’s an opportunity that they could try to apply the new play style, or strategy. Well-prepared attitude will help when they would face the best DotA teams in the world.

The team also won several major tournaments like World Cyber Games Asian Championship (2nd place), DotA 2 Malaysia Invitational (3rd place) and Razer DotA 2 Tournament (1st place).
MiTH (Thailand)
MiTH, the super star from Thailand, should not be vanished in the list. Last year, they did a great performance on the International, but later on, the goddess of luck seemed not to be with them. However, they finally managed to take the 7th place and took home $25,000. The team from Thailand will be worth to watch team, because they have improved a lot recently. With their new strategies and mind setting, MiTH will surely put up another good show, if they will be invited in this year’s The International.
