RGN: Hi Vinh, nice to meet you! I always want to find information of your DotA career. I found it very interesting after I watched you competing in many tournaments in Vietnam.

Jem: I’ve played DotA for three years. My first DotA team is the team of lovephuong – a good DotA player in Vietnam. Then I had a good time playing for proA, followed by Skynet. The original Skynet team members are me, Nolove, Lonely, Muadong and Zelda. Skynet is a DotA team that I sticked the longest and had the most success. The most memorable that DotA brought me was the championship of GOPS I. It is a time when my DotA career started developing.

DotA brought me joy and the chances to challenge myself. I always found out the new things and fixed the mistake I got. DotA gave me many things, but also took my time. Because of DotA, I went to the University late a year.

RGN: I guess you have got many teammates when playing DotA. Who are the most impressive teammates you’ve ever had?

Jem: He is Skynet.Muadong. He is the one who I fight the most, but we treat each others very well. Muadong and I now currently attend to the same university as well as playing DotA, LoL together. In addition, I also have very good relationship with team members in particular and DotA community in general. There was a time I’m quite “alone” and play DotA as a “mercenaries” for any DotA teams which needed me. But that period did not last long.

RGN: Why being successful with DotA, you suddenly moved to League of Legends? I think these two games are quite different, and I wonder how you think about them?

Jem: As mentioned, I’m interested in finding new things. League of Legends is a most attractive strategy team game today and I don’t deny that truth. Muadong and I have competed for team Skynet.LOL and gain some successes. After WCG 2011 in Vietnam, I decided to train and compete seriously with LoL. But my love is always there for DotA.

Now, I do not completely switch to League of Legends. I play along both DotA and LoL for both teams Skynet.DotA and Skynet.LoL. When I returned to play DotA, I felt really familiar and full of joy.

RGN: I have many intentions in 2012 and I’m sure you have yours. So, do you have special targets in the next year?

Jem: There’s not much. I will definitely invest time to study and work. Game has given me many things, but it can be replace for knowledge and learning. The only way bring me to a bright future and success in life is studying.

RGN: Some months before, I met you when you were listening to classical music passionately. How surprised I was at that time!

Jem: I enjoyed listening to symphonic music and my favorite singer is Andrea Bocelli. I do not love K-pop, V-pop or modern music like other young men. I love the subtle, learned and inspiration from symphonic music or classical music. Perhaps this is a bit strange compared to the others.

In addition, I also love watching movies. I love the movies when I was a child. The best memory I’ve ever had in my life is being gifted two tickets to the premiere of the blockbuster movie “Avatar”. It was a moment of extreme interest that perhaps ever after I do not forget!

RGN: Beyond being a good DotA player, you are hip-hop breakdancer enthusiasts. Do you think DotA and breakdance have something similar?

Jem: I’ve practiced and trained breakdance for about two years. My qualifications in this subject are nothing really significant. Hiphop breakdance is difficult, just like playing DotA to be professional. It can be affirmed, to pursue the Hiphop breakdance, you need to spend a lot of energy and effort.

Like DotA, I am extremely passionate about the breakdance. My forte is the body popping moves. In DotA, I found what I did wrong and became more cautious. In breakdance, I find comfort and creative in each hop. Hiphop breakdance has given me amazing things, and besides, is very abundant healthy. I can hardly say that DotA or Hip-hop breakdance, which I love more. Simply because it’s the best two things that life gives me!

RGN: Yes, I also love watching breakdancers because it’s very exciting. But that’s not all your talents, because I know you are very great in painting and doing business.

Jem: I am a student of architecture, so I often have to draw. Maybe I am not excellent in painting, although I love doing it much, but I still do not have any artwork which made me feel comfortable. I usually spend my spare time to make and sell handmade things for the souvenir shops or those who want to buy. It can also be called a small business of mine. In general, those abilities helped me a lot of problems in my life. I think I have only one drawback is I sleep quite too much.

RGN: I wish I could be talented as half as you are! I will feel very sorry if I don’t see you in competitive gaming anymore. So when will you stopped playing games?

Jem: I do not know. There can be at the end of year 2012, because I’m quite busy. My job in the future would probably not related to games, but I will never discard games. Games have become an indispensable part of my life.
