TNP Cyber Challenge – Sudden Attack

A war is brewing and it’s time to pick a side.  Come 28th May, members of the Silent Fox Corps and the SA anti-terrorist Police will once again duke it out at what would be the pinnacle of their long-drawn-out bout.  Many will be enlisted into their ranks but only an intrepid team of five will emerge unscathed.  So assemble your team and unsheathe your weapon of choice because The New Paper Challenge: Sudden Attack is in town. Registration for the tournament has since opened and will close on the 18th of May, 2011.  A registration fee of $25 per team is applicable. The competition will follow that of a Round Robin > Single Elimination > Double Elimination style format making for an intense qualifying round and grueling conclusion.  As the Sudden Attack team of Asiasoft Online Pte Ltd points out, “Round robin is one of the fairer ways of going about the competition, as all teams have a chance to play with every other team in their group, resulting in more accurate placings.” And in using the double elimination system in the finals, the team expects a very exciting finish to the tournament as the champions may not be crowned until all the scores are tabulated. The tournament will play out on 3 official maps, namely 3rd Supply Base, Old Town and Dragon Road.  “These are the official maps of Korea’s Sudden Attack tournaments,” as the team explains, “and we have selected the same maps so as to prepare the players for Gstar (Korea’s largest annual eSports tournament), as we would very much like to send our local teams there in the near future.”  Watch masterful strategies come into play as players methodically pick apart opposing teams en route to the bomb sites or dismantle opponents through the grit and sheer organization of their battle plan.  Expect fierce competition from favorites TMG|United and #Nothing from Singapore, as well as Chronos|LZ and Duskbin from Malaysia, when the later dispatches 2 of their most promising teams down to do battle against the local pool of 30 in the qualifiers.  The stakes are high as a grand prize of SG$4,000 (excluding additional prize products) awaits the winner, on top of the bragging rights to lay claim that his team is the best in the nation!

Sudden Attack is a free-to-play First Person Shooter, or FPS, MMOG (Massively Multiplayer Online Game) developed by the South Korean company, GameHi.  For more information on the tournament, please check out the following link;
