There is no doubt that COD4 is 1 of the most, if not THE most popular First Person Shooter (FPS) game in Malaysia. And there is no doubt that the number 1 COD clan in Malaysia is Clan ESP, which stands for EAT. SLEEP. PLAY. Thus, the Spotgamers team feel it is necessary to interview them due to their recent successes. Presenting ESP. Holyboy, who took some time out to conduct this interview with us.

Garena Asian Championship Predictions!
Written by RGN    Monday, 24 August 2009 11:48    Read : 429 times PDF Print E-mail

The Garena Asian Championships are into their second week, and as a new instalment in Rapture Gaming Network we will provide weekly predictions! This week, we will have Zhi Ping “d4rkn3s5r3b0rN” Lim from the Singapore e-Sports organisation Axis his predictions of this week's matches.

A little information on Zhi Ping “d4rkn3s5r3b0rN” Li. As a member of AxisRSC.DOTA, he plays the role of the main farmer. An important player for the team, he was instrumental in the team's recent run in the Singapore WCG National Qualifiers where they narrowly (and i mean, REALLY narrow) lost out to XTC in the Finals.

We have also provided the results from the first week of matches that went underway over the weekend! We will update this post for the remainder of the matches as they happen

4rkn3s5r3b0rN Prediction

Singapore Razer.CGC 2:0 Philippines Mineski-Dota

Razer.CGC consists of many well-known players who have won many major competitions in the past. Even though they have gone through frequent changes in line-ups recently, their experience and individual skills should be able to carry them through.

Indonesia Digi Resurrection 0:2 Vietnam Stars.BoBa

Stars.BoBa has been performing consistently well recently, having won the recent ACG 2009. Even though they may not be at their top form as they may not be used to 6.61c yet, the team has been together for a long period of time and they have developed great teamwork which will probably allow them to win this.

Australia MCiTy 2:1 Malaysia CyberTime

MCiTy has been formed for quite a period of time and its players have been playing together for a rather long time. Their teamwork, in addition to their individual skill, will allow them to take the win. Nonetheless, Cybertime is no new team and will probably be able to win a game from MCiTy.

South Korea Sponsor us please! 1:2 China CommeDieu

cD, having won the ACG China Qualifiers and ADC Qualifiers and during the process winning teams like Ks.cn and EHome, has proven that they are a consistent team that is to be reckoned with. However, SuP will probably be able to put up a tough fight and take a game from cD as they're one of the top teams in Korea.

Immune to defeat..

In Australia, the GotGames Invitational CEVO (CyberEvolution) Professional Season 5 has just started to get underway. The defending Champions and this season's favourite, Australia Team Immunity, faced off against Australia Morals who many Australian gamers believe to be the main contenders to the title. Facing off in the first match of the season, many would see this as a preview to the Grand Finals!

In the second week, Australia Team Immunity took on Australia eXile 5 with most people writting off the latter's chances at this match calling it the "Landslide match of the week" in favour of the former. It was to be as everyone expected as Australia Team Immunity steam rolled them.

Week 1: Australia Team Immunity > Australia Morals (16 - 12)
Week 2: Australia Team Immunity > Australia eXile 5 (16 - 2) - Match with commentary from GameStah here.

Match report vs Morals

Losing the knife round Australia Team Immunity subsequently was forced to start the first half as Terrorists. After losing the pistol round, the save rounds and the first gun round, Australia Team Immunity were looking down at a 4-0 deficit. A quick rush with only pistols however changed this score around and acted as a catalyst, as Immunity managed to get back into the game. Rounds were exchanged, but Australia Morals managed to hold onto their early game lead and close out the half 9-6 in their favour.

Australia Team Immunity is a historically strong Counter-Terrorist sided team on all maps, with de_tuscan being no exception. A balance of cross fires, intelligent setups and good team work allowed Australia Immunity to quickly turn the game and take the lead. A continued dominance proceeded as they eventually edged out their competition winning 16-12.
