Upcoming Dota 2 Changes
Dota 2 has been gaining popularity and has been accepted by the Dota community at large. Along with the regular updates which include heroes and bug fixes, Valve is aiming to add something new to Dota 2. Here is a list of the upcoming changes of which we will be taking a brief look at.
1. Radiant and Dire Heads-up Display (HUD) changes.
2. Personal and User Profile.
3. Auction House.
Radiant and Dire HUD changes:
While playing Dota 2 and accessing the cosmetic items available in game from the Valve store many of you would have noticed a HUD skin option available in the load-out section. The HUD skin will be available for both sides, Radiant and Dire. It will basically allow the players to change to the HUD skin from the default skin. The availability of the skin through the store has not been confirmed at this time but it is likely that this feature will be implemented soon and would likely be available to all the Dota 2 users.
Below is a sneak peak at the HUD skins for both Radiant and Dire sides.

The second feature that Valve is currently working on is the personal profiles. In the competitive world of Dota 2, personal profiles would mean a lot to players in the community. Valve is currently working on possible features that could be enabled in personal profiles without disrupting the game mechanism. However the possible list of features would likely include player achievements for individual heroes. For example, for a support hero, it might include information such as ‘most wards placed’ or ‘most assists’.
With traders in Dota 2 being scammed of their items and the volatile rates in the Dota 2 Trade Market, the Auction House would be a breath of fresh air for traders. The ridiculous cost for new item sets is getting out of control and hence auctioning an item through the Auction House could be a good move by Valve. However the Auction House is still in its testing phase and its successful implementation is still a major question mark at this point in time.
